I have always carried a passion for teaching, ever since the first course I ever took in Graphic Design. This passion was concreted when I had the pleasure of teaching a digital photography class during my undergraduate degrees in graphic design and photography.
Teaching is my true passion. Watching students grow as professionals and designers inspires me greatly and makes getting up for work everyday energizing. Knowing I am making a difference in people's life is what makes my soul happy. I had the opportunity to teach at Iowa State while I was still a graduate student, and accepted a position at Louisiana State University Shreveport on the day I walked for graduation. In addition to teaching, I try to always keep myself immersed in curriculum development by being on committees in different areas of campus. With the addition of mentoring and being an active faculty member on campus, I love being involved in all aspects of academia. Being involved allows me to really connect both with the university and with my students on a level that cultivates better communication between myself and my students.
